Do my friends need to download the app to vote?
No. Frictionless planning is our top priority. When you share a Cohezy link, your friends can open it in their mobile or desktop browser, cast their votes on your polls, and chat with the group without ever visiting the App Store.
Notifications & Group Chat
How does Cohezy prevent notification spam?
We use Smart Throttling. If your group is having an active conversation inside an event, Cohezy will send you one notification to let you know there is unread activity. We will pause all future alerts for that event until you actually open the app or website to catch up. No more phones buzzing 50 times in a row.
Why use Cohezy instead of a normal group text?
Group texts are great for banter, but terrible for making decisions. Cohezy pulls the planning out of the chat thread. You use Polls to clearly see who voted for what date or location, and event-specific chat keeps the details organized.
Groups & Social Circles
What are groups for?
Groups allow you to organize your different social circles to make planning easier. You might create separate groups for Family, Friends, Game Night, or a Hiking Club. You can invite people to join multiple groups, keeping your work colleagues separate from your weekend social plans.
Optional Calendar Sync
Can other group members see my private calendar details?
No. Cohezy uses "Blind Scheduling" logic. If you choose to sync your calendar, group members only see whether a time slot is "Free" or "Busy". We never transmit your appointment titles, descriptions, or attendee lists to anyone else.
What if I don't use Google Calendar?
No problem! You can still use Cohezy without syncing a calendar. If you do want the magic of automatic scheduling but use iCloud, Office 365, or Outlook, you can link them through a Google "Bridge" account.
